What to expect on a Prado Museum tour

  • Once you book a guided tour to the Prado Museum, you’ll receive a confirmation of your ticket on your phone. Your e-ticket will be more than enough for you to enter the museum.
  • You’ll also be notified of your meeting point. We recommend reaching the meeting point 15 minutes prior to give you a little leeway in case of any delays.
  • Once you meet your guide, they will validate your tickets. You can bypass the ticket lines and go right to the security checkpoint. During the peak season, bypassing these lines can easily save you at least 60 minutes.
  • Once you’ve completed the security check, your monolingual or bilingual guide will take you on a tour of the museum, highlighting some of its most notable works and explaining the museum’s history.
