The explanations of the entrance were not correct. It was at gate 32 and it showed us gate 55. It also indicated 9:00 but it opened at 9:30. Otherwise fine, although we had to take into account that the stadium is being remodeled.

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium renovation

Once a historic fortress, now a futuristic marvel, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium has undergone a dramatic transformation that redefines what a modern football stadium can be. Its drive to continually improve is so impressive that most visitors know they’ll see something new every time they visit.

The stadium's most recent renovation, between 2019 and 2023, included a sleek steel facade, a retractable roof, and even a retractable pitch. Futuristic? That would be an understatement. The steel facade and its fluid geometries give you a new and unique perspective on it every few steps you take.

The roof, which can be fully retracted in 15 minutes, allows matches and events to continue no matter the weather. The field itself is set on a platform of rails that allows it to be moved underneath the playing surface to water it, while the retracted turf allows for other surfaces to be installed.
