Madrid Zoo timings vary as per season, however the facilities remain open on all days of the week, throughout the year.

Spring (March to May)

Monday to Friday: 11am to 6pm (last admission at 5pm)

Saturday to Sunday: 11am to 7pm (last admission at 6pm)

Summer (June to August)

Monday to Sunday: 11am to 8pm (last admission at 7pm)

Fall (September to November)

Monday to Friday: 11am to 5/6pm (last admission at 4/5pm)

Saturday to Sunday: 11am to 6/7/8pm (last admission at 5/6/7pm)

Winter (December to February)

Monday to Friday: 11am to 5pm (last admission at 4pm)

Saturday & Sunday: 11am to 6pm (last admission at 5pm)

December 24th and 31st: 11am - 4pm (last admission at 3pm)

You’ll be informed if the zoo closes down for maintenance or renovations.

Madrid Zoo Aquarium facilities and activities timings

Most facilities remain open throughout the day, following the same timings as the Madrid Zoo hours.

Kibanda Restaurant: 1pm to 4pm
Sea lion training: Monday to Friday at 12 noon and 3.30pm. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 11.30am, 2pm, and 4.30pm.
Exotic birds display: Monday to Friday at 2pm. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
Birds of prey: Monday to Friday at 2pm. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 12.30pm and 3.30pm.

Weekend vs Weekday

Weekends at Madrid Zoo Aquarium are lively (read: crowded), especially Sundays when local families flock in. If you prefer fewer strollers and shorter lines, aim for a weekday visit.

Peak Season vs Low Season

Spring and summer (March–August) bring bigger crowds but also more animal activity. Fall and winter (September–February) mean fewer visitors, cooler temps, and sometimes sleepier animals.
