We enjoyed the tour very much. We took line 2 (Modern Madrid) and then line 1 (Classic Madrid). We want to congratulate the manager Salvatore. He guided us wonderfully and had a great last minute idea: he suggested us to get off and take line 2 (the back bus) first; this way we could enjoy both lines in a row. Congratulations!

Liked that we were able to see some of the sites in Madrid just being on the bus but wish the hop on hop off version wasn't banned in Madrid right now. We would rather be able to get off at different sites to explore more.

The guide was one of the best of the whole tour I booked the ticket in English because there were no more reservations in Spanish available and the guide even though the tour was in English knew that we did not speak English. After explaining to the other people. He would tell us that he had said in English to my sister and Ami. Thank you very much for more people like that.

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium renovation

Once a historic fortress, now a futuristic marvel, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium has undergone a dramatic transformation that redefines what a modern football stadium can be. Its drive to continually improve is so impressive that most visitors know they’ll see something new every time they visit.

The stadium's most recent renovation, between 2019 and 2023, included a sleek steel facade, a retractable roof, and even a retractable pitch. Futuristic? That would be an understatement. The steel facade and its fluid geometries give you a new and unique perspective on it every few steps you take.

The roof, which can be fully retracted in 15 minutes, allows matches and events to continue no matter the weather. The field itself is set on a platform of rails that allows it to be moved underneath the playing surface to water it, while the retracted turf allows for other surfaces to be installed.
