First sight and entry

Approach the stadium’s striking red-and-white façade as you step off the metro at Estadio Metropolitano. After getting your tickets validated, along with a mandatory security screening, you can enjoy your tour of the stadium and visit the museum, too.

Walk through the stadium’s core

Begin your route in the panoramic stands where the vast seating bowl and club emblems come into view. Follow clear signage toward the players’ tunnel, before walking through the changing rooms, where the teams prep before the big game.

Explore behind the scenes

Step into areas normally reserved for players and media. Tour the pitchside dugout, the press conference room, where the club’s manager, Diego Simeon,e interacts with the media, and the home team’s locker room.

Upgrade for exclusive access

Want more than just a regular guided tour of the stadium? If you choose the Premium Tour, you get to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in Simeone’s private box. But if you’re here for more than just a sightseeing tour and want to witness the players competing on the field, don’t look beyond the Team Arrival & Match Ticket Experience.

Discover the interactive museum

Next, head over to the club’s museum, the Territorio Atleti, to witness over 120 years of its history documented in every way possible. From multimedia and virtual reality experiences, projections, and a collection of the club’s most iconic jerseys and trophies, you’ll feel like you’re going on a journey back in time.

Exit the museum

Once you’ve concluded your tour of the museum, you can exit the venue and continue to explore everything else on your Madrid bucket list.

Things to know before booking your Atlético de Madrid Stadium & Museum tickets

Booking window

  • Tickets are available both online and on-site, but booking online secures your preferred slot and helps you avoid waiting at the ticket counters.
  • Most visitors book within 48 hours of their visit, so if you’re in Madrid at the last minute, a same-day purchase can work on non-match days. However, if you plan on visiting on a weekend, booking your tickets at least 3-5 days prior is your best bet.

Entry & access

  • All visitors enter through the dedicated museum/tour reception inside the stadium complex. Your ticket is scanned upon entry, and you’ll have to go through a mandatory security screening (your skip-the-line tickets don’t let you bypass this step).
  • During match weeks or busy periods, additional security and crowd control may extend waiting times, so plan to arrive a little early in case of bigger crowds.

What’s included

  • Your standard ticket combines access to key stadium highlights, including the players’ tunnel, pitch-side dugout, press room, and (subject to match schedules) the home team locker room. Your ticket also includes entry to the Territorio Atleti interactive museum.
  • The Premium Tour includes an exclusive add-on: a sumptuous breakfast in Diego Simeone’s private box, with a stunning panoramic view of the pitch. The highlight is that this tour is scheduled before the stadium’s official opening hours, meaning you’ll have the entire space to yourself.
  • The Team Arrival Experience gives you the chance to witness both teams in the mixed zone, along with a photo opportunity in the players’ tunnel. You also get a ticket to watch a match live, with seating in the lower lateral stands.

Ways to explore

  • Skip-the-line entry tickets let you bypass long ticket queues, but your tour of the stadium and museum will be entirely self-guided. Don’t worry, you’ll find plenty of signage all across to know where you’re going.
  • A guided tour, on the other hand, gets you detailed insights into the stadium and the club’s history from an expert.

Special access and upgrades

  • As mentioned earlier, the Premium Tour gets you exclusive access to Diego Simeone’s private box, and that too before the stadium opens to the public.
  • Additionally, the Team Arrival Experience gets you a behind-the-scenes view of both teams in the mixed zone, along with match tickets.

Policies and accessibility

  • The stadium has been designed to accommodate wheelchair users, with 99 well-positioned seats. Additionally, you’ll also find seats for a companion for every wheelchair user, along with 106 easy-access seats.
  • During June and July, access to some parts of the stadium will be limited due to events. However, you can still access the museum.

Tips to make the most of your visit to the Atlético de Madrid Stadium

  • Want to experience the stadium before the crowds swoop in? Book the Premium Tour to have the stadium entirely to yourself and your group. This experience also gets you a delicious breakfast in Diego Simeone’s private box.
  • While the museum is filled with all kinds of exhibits, don’t miss out on the ‘Room of Fernando Torres’, an entire space dedicated to one of the club’s most legendary players. Most visitors describe this as an incredibly poetic end to the museum tour.
  • The stadium’s located on the outskirts of Madrid, so make sure to factor in enough time for the commute. The metro is the most convenient option, according to most visitors. Line 7 (orange line) drops you off at the Estadio Metropolitano station, which is right in front of the venue.
  • If you plan on visiting the stadium on your own on a match day, don’t worry too much about which seat to pick. Visibility is great all around
