Very welcoming crew. Despite the weather, Madrid is a great city to view from the double decker bus. Too bad the hop on hop off is not available (hope to make use of it in Valencia). The free gift from the Hard Rock Hotel option needs to be updated as no longer valid But definitely would recommend this way to see the city.

#It is difficult to describe the magnificence of this Royal residence; one absolutely must visit it to understand Spanish history and pride. It was very flattering, as an Italian/Campan, to find there many masterpieces by painters and craftsmen from the Kingdom of Naples. Special thanks to our guide, Daniel, for his professionalism.

+1 more

We enjoyed the tour very much. We took line 2 (Modern Madrid) and then line 1 (Classic Madrid). We want to congratulate the manager Salvatore. He guided us wonderfully and had a great last minute idea: he suggested us to get off and take line 2 (the back bus) first; this way we could enjoy both lines in a row. Congratulations!

The Palace was majestic and having booked our tickets online saved us from standing in a 3 hour line. Every room within the Palace was indicative of the gradeur and royalty of the Spanish monarchy. We did a self guided tour which allowed us to go about and explore at our own pace. Thank you Headput for the smooth experience.

UNESCO city

Toledo’s entire historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason. From its towering cathedral to centuries-old bridges and fortresses, every corner of the city tells a story. It is also one of Spain’s best-preserved medieval towns!

City of Three Cultures

Toledo is also known as the city of three cultures because of the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish influences that shaped the town over 2000 years. Wander medieval streets where Gothic cathedrals, mosques, and synagogues stand side by side.

Change your perspective

Just 30 minutes from Madrid, Toledo is a refreshing break from city life. Its cobbled alleys, stunning hilltop views, and old-world charm offer a complete change of pace.

Haven for art and culture

The city has long been an artistic and intellectual hub, home to the famous painter El Greco. Its museums and churches are filled with masterpieces. You can even see artisan traditions like sword-making and damascene metalwork in practice today!

Every foodie's delight

From the famous Marzipan of Toledo, a centuries-old sweet, to hearty dishes like stewed partridge and Manchego cheese, the city offers flavors deeply rooted in tradition.

Gateway to other UNESCO marvels

Beyond Toledo, the region of Castilla-La Mancha is home to other stunning UNESCO-listed sites. Its close proximity to cities like Segovia and Ávila makes it an ideal base for exploring even more of Spain’s heritage, turning a single-day trip into an extended cultural adventure.

Why choose planned day trips

A planned day trip takes the hassle out of travel so you can focus on exploring, soaking in the views, and indulging in Toledo’s famous marzipan. Here’s why it’s the smartest choice:

No transport hassles

Forget deciphering train timetables, switching buses, or figuring out the best way into the city. A comfortable AC coach will pick you up in central Madrid and take you straight to the action.

Enjoy a picturesque journey

No need to drive, park, or navigate winding streets. Just grab a seat, take in the rolling Spanish countryside, and arrive ready to explore instead of exhausted.

Skip the guesswork with a smart itinerary

These planned itineraries hit all of Toledo’s highlights at the perfect pace. You won’t waste time deciding where to go next because every must-see spot is already on the list.

Unique insights from a guide

A great guide turns Toledo’s medieval past into something vivid and exciting. Instead of wandering past landmarks without context, you’ll hear the stories that bring them to life.

Tailor your trip

Only have a few hours? A half-day tour works perfectly. Want to explore deeper? A full-day trip gives you more time. Looking for an adventure? Combine Toledo with Segovia or Ávila for a history-packed day.
